Senior Infrastructure System Engineer (m/w/d) - Focus Storage (NetApp) & Backup

As Senior Infrastructure System Engineer, you will take on a central role in designing, operating, and further developing our storage and backup infrastructure. You will bring deep technical expertise, work conceptually and operationally, and significantly contribute to the stability, scalability, and efficiency of our IT platforms.

What awaits you:

• Conceptualization, implementation, and further development of storage solutions with a focus on NetApp
• Planning and implementation of comprehensive backup and recovery concepts
• Ongoing capacity monitoring, analysis, and optimization of the storage infrastructure
• Ensuring stable and performant operation (monitoring, maintenance, lifecycle management)
• Troubleshooting complex issues in the storage and backup field (2nd/3rd level)
• Documented architectures, operating concepts, and processes
• Closely working with adjacent infrastructure and application teams

We look forward to:

• Multiple years of experience as an Infrastructure/System Engineer in the enterprise environment
• Fundamental knowledge of NetApp storage systems (e.g. ONTAP, SnapMirror, SnapVault, Metrocluster)
• Experience in conceptualizing and implementing backup strategies
• Practical experience in capacity management, performance optimization, and monitoring
• Very good knowledge of operating and troubleshooting complex infrastructures
• Structured, solution-oriented working style and high self-responsibility
• Good German and English skills in writing and speaking

Desirable additional qualifications:

• Experience in hypervisor operation, particularly with: VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Director, VMware NSX
• Knowledge of working with Veeam Backup & Replication
• Experience with virtualized or cloud-based infrastructure environments
