Team: Information Security Position Overview: Squarepoint is seeking a subject matter expert to join our Information Security team as a Senior Information Security Engineer. This senior position plays a pivotal role in strengthening our security posture by providing expert guidance, and driving improvements across key areas such as network, cloud, data, and system security. The successful candidate will act as an escalation point to the Security Operations, ensuring complex security problems are effectively resolved. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of Squarepoint's security posture and identifying opportunities for improvement. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain effective security controls and processes. • Providing expert guidance on security best practices and standards to the Information Security team. • Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies to address identified risks. • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across Squarepoint to ensure effective communication of security-related information. • Staying up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and threats in the cybersecurity landscape, and applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement in our security posture. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. • At least 5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on engineering and architecture. • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA). • Strong understanding of cloud, network, data, and system security principles and best practices. • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools. • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and incident response processes. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
