Senior Inbound Group Travel Designer

A leading travel company in Durban is searching for a Senior Inbound Travel Consultant to create exceptional group travel proposals. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years in inbound travel with strong destination knowledge of South and Southern Africa. Responsibilities include designing tailor-made itineraries, sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, and managing multiple proposals simultaneously. The role demands excellent communication skills and attention to detail, along with the ability to work under pressure. Key Responsibilities: * Design and develop unique and engaging group travel itineraries, tailored to client needs and preferences. * Source and negotiate rates with hotels, transportation providers, guides, and other suppliers. * Prepare detailed and accurate travel proposals, costing, and quotations. * Manage multiple group travel proposals concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality service. * Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and build new relationships with potential clients. * Stay up-to-date with travel trends, destination information, and industry regulations. * Provide exceptional customer service and handle any issues or complaints that may arise. Requirements: * Minimum of 5 years of experience in inbound travel, specifically designing group travel itineraries. * In-depth knowledge of South and Southern African destinations, including hotels, attractions, and activities. * Strong supplier negotiation skills and the ability to secure competitive rates. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
