Senior II Software Engineer Lead - Akamai Inference Cloud @ Akamai Technologies

To be successful in this role you will: Possess software engineering expertise with advanced proficiency in distributed systems, cloud services, and platform engineering. Demonstrate deep experience building and operating internet-facing platform services such as API gateways, ingress layers, reverse proxies, or service infrastructure. Demonstrate advanced expertise in cloud-native architectures, incorporating containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes. Have proven experience working with large-scale distributed systems, including scalability, reliability, and performance considerations. Develop and maintain software applications using programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or other relevant languages. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions that meet business requirements. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering. Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the improvement of the overall software development process. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, architecture diagrams, and implementation details. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them grow professionally and technically. Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within the team.
