Senior ICT Architect – Enterprise Architecture / Core Banking Transformation 100%

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior ICT Architect with profound expertise in Enterprise Architecture and core banking systems. In this demanding role, you will take on a central function in the strategic further development of the IT landscape and the consolidation of core banking systems. You will combine business requirements with future-proof architectural approaches and accompany the transformation from conception to implementation.

Main Tasks:

• Development of the strategic application architecture for core banking systems and their direct environment in line with the IT and corporate strategy

• Active participation in a strategic platform program for the consolidation of core banking systems

• Structuring, analyzing, and critically questioning business requirements, as well as ensuring a sustainable solution architecture

• Development and further development of a bank-wide reference architecture across all business domains

• Development of target state visions and strategic architectural specifications for future banking IT

• Development of an overarching implementation roadmap including critical path, dependencies, and defined exit points

• Technical support of vendor selection processes (RfP) as well as critical evaluation of solution variants and costs

• Consulting and support for Enterprise and Application Architecture on overarching architectural issues

• Close collaboration with the delivery organization and relevant stakeholders from strategic planning to implementation

Requirements:

• Several years of experience as an Enterprise Architect or Domain Architect in complex IT landscapes, ideally in the banking environment

• Profound experience in the transformation and consolidation of core banking systems across various products and all project phases

• Broad know-how of banking applications, IT solutions, and reference architectures, especially in the areas of accounts, securities, payment transactions, and financing

• Very good knowledge of modern architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and experience with Capability-Based Modelling

• Profound understanding of common integration patterns and modern architectural approaches

• Experience in agile project and working environments, especially with Scrum and SAFe

• Experience in creating strategic target state visions, architectural roadmaps, and transformation concepts

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as the competence to structure and present complex relationships

• Communication skills appropriate for the audience and confident demeanor towards different stakeholder groups – from C-level to implementation teams

• Assertiveness, consulting competence, and the ability to reconcile different interests
