As Senior Group Business Controller – Operations (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the operative steering logic of the entire Group – across locations, countries, and a developed, fragmented process and system landscape. You will report to the Head of Group Controlling and work closely with the COO and CFO.
Your mission: To develop a heterogeneous steering landscape into a robust, group-wide comparable controlling logic and to elevate the operative value chain from Plan-to-Product, Demand-to-Supply to Purchase-to-Pay to a new level of control.

Steering & Analysis

• You will independently define, monitor, and analyze operative KPIs – particularly regarding productivity, OEE, costs, and delivery reliability – and derive well-founded recommendations for action from them.
• In product and project cost calculation, you will create transparency regarding the key cost drivers of operative value creation.
• You will prepare reports and planned-actual comparisons in a target group-oriented and understandable manner.

• Across multiple locations and countries, you will further develop non-uniform systems, processes, and key figures into a robust, group-wide comparable steering logic – centrally defined, decentrally implemented, anchored together with the production companies.
• You will sustainably establish group-wide standards for Plan-to-Product, Demand-to-Supply, and Purchase-to-Pay.
• You will be independently responsible for steering central working capital key figures such as DIH and DPO.

• You will independently be responsible for economic feasibility and investment analyses (CapEx) as well as business cases – from the initial idea to the decision paper.
• You will actively contribute to production, capacity, and cost planning as well as forecasting for operations and supply chain areas.
• You will actively support operative efficiency programs and ensure their sustainable implementation.

• Across an internationally heterogeneous process and system landscape, you will harmonize operative key figures and reporting structures – centrally defined, decentrally implemented.
• You will actively drive the further development of controlling tools, dashboards, and data processes, thereby shaping a modern, digital controlling landscape.

• As a sparring partner for plant management and operations functions, you will support central steering processes at eye level and reliably act as a competent point of contact.

We are looking for an experienced controlling personality with strong methodological and process competence.

Experience & Background

• You have at least five years of relevant experience in operations or production controlling – in an international, industrial environment, e.g., infrastructure, energy industry, manufacturing, or automotive.
• Experience in internationally structured, decentralized, and organically grown structures with fragmented process and system landscapes characterizes you – as does the ability to establish standards there without disciplinary power.
• You possess a “cold start” capability: You quickly gain a reliable overview, identify the key areas for action, and translate them – prioritized and in agreement with stakeholders – into concrete solutions. A background from the PE or family office environment is a clear plus.
• Experience in other controlling areas – such as commercial, project, or financial controlling – is explicitly welcome.

• You possess strong methodological and process competence: KPI systematics, planning and forecasting methods, structured analysis, and preparation of decisions.
• A deep understanding of processes along Plan-to-Product, Demand-to-Supply, and Purchase-to-Pay is part of your profile.
• You have demonstrably gained practical experience in product and project cost calculation as well as in steering DIH and DPO.
• You have demonstrably participated in the further development or new setup of controlling processes and KPI systems.
• You handle Excel with confidence; ERP experience, e.g., SAP or Microsoft Dynamics, as well as analytics tools like Power BI, are advantageous.
• A basic understanding of accounting, HGB accounting standards, and cost center and cost unit accounting completes your technical profile.
• You command German and English at a minimum C1 level, both spoken and written.

• You establish standards through professional persuasion – not through hierarchy.
• You bring together the differing interests of international production companies and develop viable solutions, which you then consistently implement.
• You combine analytical excellence with pragmatism and the ability to reduce complexity to management-ready decision-making bases.
• You enjoy intercultural collaboration and are willing to travel within Europe.
