Senior Grid Connection Manager

In the context of our further growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Grid Connection Manager who will strengthen our cooperation with grid operators and accompany projects from the grid connection request to the successful realization.

In this role, you will be responsible for all activities related to the grid connection of our assets – from feasibility studies and application submissions to technical coordination and cooperation with distribution and transmission grid operators (DSO/TSO).

You will serve as the central interface between Terra One and the grid operators and ensure that our projects are grid-ready and we build and maintain stable, long-term relationships with relevant actors in the energy system.

Your Tasks

• Steering the entire lifecycle of the grid connection processes for our battery energy storage projects (BESS) in Germany
• Identifying suitable grid connection points and evaluating the technical and economic feasibility of the grid connection
• Leading and coordinating grid connection applications at distribution and transmission grid operators (DSO/TSO), including grid studies, technical clarifications, and grid connection agreements
• Serving as the central point of contact for grid operators and ensuring proactive, trustworthy communication
• Closely cooperating with internal teams (project development, approval, engineering) and external consultants to align net-relevant activities
• Supporting strategic assessments on grid availability, capacity planning, and regulatory developments with an impact on the project pipeline
• Active participation in internal knowledge building on grid-related topics and establishing best practices
