Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Senior Geotechnician for Dam and Hydroelectric Project Design

We are looking for a senior geotechnical engineer or senior geotechnician with solid experience in designing dams, dikes, and other large hydraulic structures. You will play a central role in analyzing, designing, and technically supervising major projects while serving as a reference to the team and clients.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary Hydroelectricity & Dams sector team, which intervenes at all stages of project realization: design, technical analyses, commissioning, and follow-up. Working with structure, hydraulic, geotechnical, mechanical, and electrical teams, you will participate in various mandates touching construction, rehabilitation, or maintenance of hydraulic infrastructure in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada.

Main responsibilities:

• Pilot complex geotechnical analyses (dams, dikes, other hydroelectric structures).
• Oversee technical design and production of deliverables: plans, estimates, reports, recommendations, authorization requests.
• Plan, supervise, and interpret investigation campaigns (drilling, testing, instrumentation).
• Perform or validate advanced analyses: stability, flow, settlement, foundations, dynamic analysis.
• Contribute to project management (multidisciplinary coordination, team leadership, client relations) and intervene during dam safety reviews (ESSD), specialized inspections, and mentorship activities.
