Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Our esteemed client, a prominent multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm renowned for its innovative problem-solving capabilities, is in search of a seasoned Senior Geotechnical Engineer to bolster their Johannesburg team. This role is pivotal in providing specialized geotechnical engineering expertise across diverse projects, from inception to fruition. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver top-notch solutions aligned with client objectives and project requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Conducting site investigations, laboratory testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions; • Developing and implementing innovative geotechnical solutions that meet project goals and stakeholder expectations; • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive project plans and deliverables; • Providing expert advice on geotechnical matters to clients and internal stakeholders; • Staying abreast of industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field, with at least 8 years of experience in the geotechnical engineering sector. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or Revit, is highly desirable.
