Senior Fullstack Developer (m/w/d)

Rockstar developers, founded 2015 in Mannheim, further offices in Stuttgart and Munich. We are a software developer with experience from hundreds of individual projects for enterprise and mid-sized customers.

Short paths, honest feedback, no political games. No hierarchy levels between you and the people who make decisions.

Your Tasks

You work on customer projects at large companies and public contract holders, embedded in their teams, with full responsibility for your area.

• Fullstack development in enterprise and regulated environments
• Architecture design, not just implementation
• Code generation, review, and refactor with Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor
• Code Reviews and technical mentoring within the team
• Alignment with Product Owners, UX, and DevOps

Most people come in one to two days a week to one of our offices. Force is not necessary. When you're on-site at the customer's location, you're only there for individual appointments every few weeks.

Where you'll land

Depending on the project and your experience:

• Large corporations like Deutsche Bahn/DB Systel (specific domains: timetable management, sales, guidance, and security technology)
• Public sector/public authorities (e.g., Federal Agency for Work, ITZBund, Bundesdruckerei) – regulated environments, barrier-free design, security by design
• Enterprise and mid-sized customers from various industries

Experience in one of these environments is a strong plus – tell us about it in the questions.

What you bring

Senior level. Our customers need people who deliver from day one and work independently.

Backend Core (what we expect):

• Java (17+) and Spring Boot (alternatively strong in .NET, Kotlin, or Python)
• REST interfaces, relational databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle, etc.)
• Docker and Kubernetes
• CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), Git, agile working

Frontend (one is sure, both are a plus):

• React/Next.js or Angular, each with TypeScript

Cloud: AWS or Azure

A Plus (not necessary):

• Apollo Kafka/asynchronous communication, Microservices, Domain-Driven Design, JPA/Hibernate
• Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus), Object Storage (S3), Tests (JUnit, Jest, Playwright, Cypress)
• Barrier-free design (BITV 2.0/WCAG AA), DevSecOps/Security by Design (public sector)

You don't have to know everything. What's important is that you're comfortable on both sides and can quickly adapt to new stacks.

Ai-Tools are Mandatory, not a Bonus

Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor: You must be able to work productively with these tools. Not because we want to be hip, but because our customers expect it and we do too. If you hold AI tools for hype and prefer to do everything yourself: wrong company. Internally, we invest in your AI skills.
