Senior Fullstack Developer (m/w/d) — Government & Public Sector

Founded in 2015 in Mannheim, with offices in Stuttgart and Munich. We are a software developer with experience from hundreds of individual projects for enterprise and mid-sized customers.

Your Tasks

You will work on projects for public authorities — such as Federal Agency for Work, ITZ Bund or Federal Printing Office — embedded in their teams, with full responsibility for your area.

• Fullstack development in regulated enterprise environments
• Co-architecting, not just implementing
• Generating, reviewing, and refactoring code with Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor
• Code reviews and technical mentoring within the team
• Alignment with Product Owners, UX, and DevOps

What You Bring

Senior-level. Our customers need people who deliver from day one and work independently.

Firm backend core (that's what we expect):

• Java (17+) and Spring Boot
• REST interfaces, relational databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle, etc.)
• Docker and Kubernetes
• CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), Git, agile working

Frontend (one of them is a must-have, both are a plus):

• React / Next.jsor Angular, with TypeScript

In the government sector, additionally relevant:

• Accessibility (BITV 2.0 / WCAG AA)
• DevSecOps / Security by Design
• Experience in regulated environments or the public sector

A plus (not a must):

• Apollo Kafka / asynchronous communication
• Microservices, Domain Driven Design, JPA/Hibernate
• Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus), Object-Storage (S3)
• Tests (JUnit, Jest, Playwright, Cypress)

You don't have to be an expert in everything. What's important is that you're confident on both sides and can quickly adapt to new stacks.

Ai-experience is not a nice-to-have at our company. Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor: You must be able to work productively with these tools. Not because we want to be hip, but because our customers expect it and we also work that way. If you hold AI-tools for hype and prefer to do everything yourself: wrong company.
