Senior Fullstack Engineer

We are looking for a senior fullstack engineer who does not only implement features, but actively shapes our product. In this role, you will take end-to-end responsibility for central product functions, make fundamental technical decisions and shape architecture, code quality and engineering standards significantly with.

We are a growing SaaS start-up from Stuttgart and develop with Heimat an intelligent SaaS solution for skill and resource management in project-oriented companies. Our AI solution supports IT service providers and consulting firms in using employees optimally according to their potential, recognizing skill gaps early on and making data-based staffing decisions.

You will work closely with product management and the executive board, bringing your understanding of customer, market, and project requirements into play and having real influence on how requirements become a consistent, innovative and high-performance SaaS product.

Aufgaben

• Taking over a fachliche und technische Führungsrolle in the development team with clear hands-on responsibility
• Development of Produktfeatures End-to-End – from conception and architecture to productive implementation
• Shaping and further developing the Systemarchitektur with a focus on scalability, maintainability and performance
• Making and communicating fundierter technischer Entscheidungen as well as setting clear technical guidelines
• Closely working with product management: requirements structuring, questioning and prioritizing
• Development of nutzerzentrierter Lösungen with high expectations for UX and usability
• Responsibility for Code-Qualität, reviews, best practices and continuous improvement of engineering standards
• Active contribution to building a strong, sustainable development team (mentoring, sparring, knowledge exchange)

Qualifikation

• Multiple years of experience as a Fullstack Software Engineer in an agile product or project environment, ideally SaaS, and the independent conception and implementation of complex features
• Strong knowledge in Java/Kotlin and relevant frameworks (e.g. SpringBoot)
• Strong knowledge in JavaScript/Typescript and relevant frameworks (e.g. React / Vue.js)
• Experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• A strong sense for UX, Usability and clean interaction concepts
• Strong Ownership-Mindset, self-responsibility and decision-making enthusiasm
• Structured, pragmatic decision-making with high quality expectations.
• Clear communication and joy in giving orientation to the team
• Very good Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
• Nice to have: Experience with vector databases and semantic search and integrating AI models/LLMs into production environments; Practical experience in providing and operating applications on production systems (e.g. Cloud, containerized environments, CI-CD)
