Senior Fullstack Developer / Technical Lead (m/f/d)

There is a ready-made, modern codebase, and we are looking for someone to take it over. This is the honest description of this position.

From then on, you will bear the technical responsibility for the product and write the code yourself, from the user interface to the serverless backend structures. Coordination is done directly with management; there are no intermediate levels. More important to us than knowing every framework in detail is that you solve problems and quickly learn new things.

Responsibilities

• You decide how the technical development will proceed and implement it yourself.
• You fix the bugs and are responsible for the deployments.
• If a trade fair has its registration start at eight in the morning, you keep the system running.
• In the frontend, you work with TypeScript and React 18, plus Vite, TailwindCSS, and shadcn/ui.
• In the backend, you work with AWS Amplify Gen 2, serverless on AWS with Lambda, DynamoDB, and Cognito.

Qualifications

You are proficient in React and TypeScript.

• You have worked with serverless on AWS, i.e., with Lambda, DynamoDB, Cognito, and IAM Policies, and know how to design a data schema.
• You write the code yourself instead of distributing it.
• You have already taken over a system built by someone else.
• Nice to have, but not required: Experience with payment flows via Stripe including Connect, familiarity with localization via i18next, and with analytics via PostHog.

Benefits

The annual salary starts at 50,000 Euros and goes up to 70,000 Euros, depending on what you bring to the table, or if you also want equity. You decide where you work: permanent remote is possible, the office in the Wuppertal Technology Center is open, and we go out together for events. On event days, the rhythm is dictated by the event; in the weeks in between, you manage your time yourself.

The real difference compared to a larger company is something else. What you decide technically is decided; there is no committee behind it. And what you build will be running for real organizers from the next event onwards, instead of in a test system.
