Senior Fullstack Developer (m/f/d)
Job description
We develop systems that our clients' operational business depends on: applications for claims processing, provisioning, sales management, ERP and logistics processes, as well as digital customer and partner portals. When such systems don't work, it doesn't just lead to a bad user experience. It leads to errors, delays, costs, and in case of doubt, real business risks.
Such systems are not created by additional capacity and cleanly managed handovers. They are created by teams that understand the problem as a whole and take responsibility for it. This is exactly what Envidual, a specialized IT consultancy, is all about.
We take responsibility from functional analysis, through UX and architecture, to technical implementation and further development. We do not see software development as processing pre-sorted tickets. We penetrate the processes, question requirements, and make decisions that will last in the long term.
Our teams are deliberately lean and interdisciplinary. Those working on a project don't just know their own segment, but understand the project, the system, the product as a whole.
We have the same expectations for the people who join us: professional curiosity, technical judgment, and the willingness to take responsibility beyond the boundaries of their own role.
Tasks
- You will develop business-critical web and backend applications that our clients rely on in their daily operations.
- You will take ownership of features end-to-end: from clarifying functional requirements with Business Analysts and technical conception with Architects to implementation, automated testing, delivery, and further development in production.
- You will work closely with Business Analysis, UX/UI, and Architecture. You will not just implement requirements, but question them and contribute your technical perspective early on.
- Quality is not a downstream step for you. You ensure that our applications remain sustainable in the long term through automated tests, code reviews, clear interfaces, and maintainable code.
- You will actively shape architectural decisions, development standards, CI/CD processes, and your team's technical working methods.
- In internal initiatives, you will further develop our engineering practice – currently in areas such as Agentic Engineering. What proves beneficial, we bring into real client projects in a controlled manner.
Qualifications
- You have already developed or modernized several demanding applications and are familiar with both new development and working with legacy systems.
- You can translate a functional requirement into a technical solution, design sensible components and interfaces, and estimate the impact of your decisions.
- You are proficient in Java and/or Kotlin, TypeScript, as well as modern backend and frontend frameworks such as Spring Boot and Angular.
- You are familiar with different architectural approaches – such as modular monoliths, microservices, and event-driven systems – and can justify which approach fits the respective problem.
- You can assess the quality of existing systems, identify technical risks, and prioritize concrete improvements.
- You have experience with a major cloud platform such as Azure/GCP/AWS/OpenShift and can select appropriate services based on functional and technical requirements.
- You are familiar with Security Best Practices, automated testing strategies, CI/CD, and fundamental requirements for observability and stable operations.
- You can guide other developers in implementation without making every decision for them.
- You communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders and are willing to openly address even difficult technical topics.
Benefits
- Projects that matter: You will work on applications that support our clients' central business processes. Your decisions will not affect an internal demo project, but systems that are used productively every day.
- Responsibility with real influence: With us, you don't just get tasks, but room for design. You can actively influence technical decisions, processes, and ways of working. Titles don't determine whose argument counts.
- Substantive learning: You will work closely with experienced developers, architects, business analysts, and designers. Instead of a rigid mentor-mentee program, you will receive direct feedback and coaching tailored to your role and goals.
- Flexibility that works within the team: We do not work with rigid attendance times. You will shape your workday flexibly and coordinate with your team and the project so that collaboration and reliability are not compromised.
- A work environment that supports professional work: You can expect high-quality hardware, modern workspaces, and a well-equipped office in Munich – including two terraces and a kitchen with drinks and snacks.
- Remuneration that matches your responsibility: We adequately compensate experience, technical depth, and responsibility taken. The statement is more credible than 'above-average pay is standard'. It would be even stronger with transparent salary bands.
- A team without status games: We communicate directly, help each other, and openly address problems. Regular team events are part of this, but are not a substitute for good everyday collaboration.
Additionally, we offer Corporate Benefits, discounted fitness offers, and other employee advantages.
