Senior Full-Stack Engineer & Technical Lead

Our client is a micro-SaaS company specializing in web-based applications. The company is migrating its infrastructure to AWS and uses a low-code development framework (Backendless) for rapid application development. To support ongoing projects, We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong DevOps background to lead backend development and cloud deployment.

We’re seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer & Technical Lead who can:

• Independently deliver full-stack features end-to-end — from UX design to backend logic and deployment.
• Lead a small engineering team, set technical direction, and ensure quality execution.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define requirements and architect effective solutions.
• Manage and maintain our Backendless infrastructure on AWS.
• Help shape and adopt our next-gen stack using agentic development tools and frameworks.

This role blends technical leadership, hands-on development, and strategic foresight into one.

Feature Development & Ownership

• Analyze user needs and design user experiences that solve real problems.
• Translate requirements into full-stack features (UI + backend + database).
• Build, test, and launch features independently using Backendless, custom code, APIs, and integrations.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Act as technical lead for our main client project, reviewing work, setting direction, and unblocking the team.
• Partner with our Program Manager to plan sprints and manage deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices.

DevOps & Backendless Infrastructure

• Manage our Backendless Kubernetes deployment on AWS (with support from Backendless engineers and a 3rd-party team).
• Set up monitoring, updates, and incident response protocols.

Agentic Development & Modern Stack Transition

• Explore and implement AI-assisted development workflows (Lovable, Kilo Code, Cursor).
• Help design and architect our future stack (Vercel, Supabase, React, Tailwind CSS, shadcn).
• Stay at the forefront of agentic development, bringing in best practices and emerging tools.

Client & Product Engagement

• Engage with clients to clarify needs and define technical solutions.
• Own the roadmap and ensure feature delivery aligns with business goals.
• Clearly communicate trade-offs and technical considerations to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-stack development experience (JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, React, Node.js or equivalent).
• Proven UX/product sense — ability to design simple, intuitive user flows.
• Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end (design → build → test → launch).
• Experience leading engineering teams or serving as a technical lead.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with low-code platforms like Backendless, Bubble, or Retool.
• Hands-on experience with agentic development workflows (Lovable, Replit, Claude, Kilo Code, Cursor) or similar AI-assisted tools.
• Experience with a rapid development stack like: Vercel, Supabase, React, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui.
• Familiarity with product ownership and direct client collaboration.
