Tasks

• Shopify Development on Senior Level: You develop new Shopify themes from scratch (Liquid), maintain and expand existing themes, build individual functionalities and custom apps, and use the Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL) for tailored solutions.
• Full-Stack Features end-to-end: From frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript, React) to backend (Node.js and/or PHP, APIs, integrations) you are responsible for features from conception to go-live.
• Refactoring, Performance & Code-Quality: You refactor and modernize existing code, ensure clean, maintainable code, fast load times, and a stable technical foundation – including code reviews and establishing best practices.
• Conversion-strong Landing Pages: You build and optimize mobile-first landing pages and accompany A/B tests from idea to data-based evaluation.
• Techical Architecture with input: You bring yourself in tool selection, interfaces, and the further development of our e-commerce infrastructure, and make informed technical decisions.
• Technical Maintenance & Monitoring: You are responsible for updates, performance monitoring, and ensuring that everything runs reliably technically.
• Sharing knowledge: You support the team professionally, share your experience, and raise our technical standard overall.

Qualification

We're looking specifically for an experienced developer who works independently and wants to take technical responsibility. What matters most to us is what you can move in practice.

You should bring:

• +2 years of experience in Shopify development (Liquid, theme development, Shopify APIs) – ideally current and continuous until today.
• Multiple years of experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Very good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend (e.g. React)
• Solid backend knowledge (Node.js and/or PHP), experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, and integrations from third-party systems.
• Very good knowledge of HTML & CSS, and a keen eye for UX and mobile optimization.
• Familiarity with Git and clean, traceable development processes.
• Independent, structured working style, and the ability to make technical decisions and justify them.
• Fluent German skills.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with conversion rate optimization and A/B testing
• Experience with tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or Hotjar
• Experience with CI/CD and performance optimization
• Experience with other e-commerce or CMS systems
