Senior Frontend Developer

Job Title: Senior Frontend Developer (React, TypeScript, AWS)
Location: Remote – Canada (Must work EST hours)
Type: Full-Time / Contract

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with 5+ years of experience in building complex web applications using React and TypeScript, and hands-on experience integrating with AWS services. You’ll play a key role in developing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance frontend solutions while collaborating with a distributed team across various functions.

• Lead the design and development of responsive, performant, and maintainable web applications using React and TypeScript

• Architect and implement integrations with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, CloudFront, and API Gateway

• Contribute to UI/UX discussions and bring wireframes and designs to life with clean, efficient code

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization

• Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality

• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews

• Collaborate closely with product managers, backend engineers, and designers

• Be available and active during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development

• Deep expertise in React.js and TypeScript

• Strong experience with AWS tools and services in a frontend context

• Proficient with Git, REST APIs, modern build tools, and deployment pipelines

• Experience in performance tuning, debugging, and testing (Jest, Cypress, etc.)

• Familiarity with design systems and component-based architecture

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Must be based in Canada and able to work EST hours

• Experience with Next.js or other SSR frameworks

• Familiarity with GraphQL

• Background in UI/UX design principles

• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
