(Senior) Freight Forwarder Project Logistics

At GEODIS, a leading logistics organization, we are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder who wants to specialize in Project Logistics. A dynamic branch within international freight forwarding. Are you ready to make a difference?
In this role, you will be responsible for the operational and administrative execution of the logistics process for import and export shipments, as well as challenging project-related shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordination of logistics processes: Ensure efficient handling of import and export shipments for various clients.

• Project management: Coordinate and execute complex project-related logistics tasks.

• Quotation preparation: Create and provide competitive quotes for spot requests.

• Building customer relationships: Maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients.

• Independent work: Independently manage emails and orders to ensure a smooth workflow.

• Invoicing: Responsible for invoicing own orders and monitoring the work overview.

• Education: Minimum MBO+ (vocational college level) work and thinking ability.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a comparable Freight Forwarding role.

• Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of freight forwarding processes and documents, including knowledge of import, export, and exceptional cargo.

• Project Logistics expertise is a plus but not a must

• Skills: Proficient in MS Office and freight forwarding IT systems.

• Communication: Excellent Dutch and English skills, both oral and written.

• Attributes: Customer-oriented, independently working team player.

• Good knowledge of freight forwarding processes and documents in Import and Export areas and exceptional cargo (supplier conditions, Incoterms, basic customs legislation, rates, OOG cargo, etc.)
