Senior Financial Accountant (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Ensuring proper bookkeeping (DATEV), including accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Processing and monitoring payment transactions and dunning procedures
• Creating rolling liquidity plans and managing cash management
• Timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
• Reconciling accounts and clarifying open items
• Coordinating forecasts and budget processes
• Preparing investment proposals and profitability analyses
• Optimizing processes and systems in accounting
• Preparation and support for business audits and annual audits
• Central point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax advisors
• Preparation of VAT pre-declarations and regular reports

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in a medium-sized company or dynamic corporate environment
• Completed university degree in Business Administration, or comparable commercial training
• Good knowledge of HGB and tax law
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and standard accounting software; experience with DATEV and/or CANDIS is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of payroll accounting is desirable
• High degree of structure, diligence, and personal responsibility
• Proactive mindset and enjoyment in actively shaping and improving processes
• Team spirit, strong communication skills, and a professional demeanor
