Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary: The primary goal of this position is to contribute to accurate financial reporting for the North American Bus and Coach business unit by working collaboratively within the Internal Group Accounting team. The role supports NFI Group finance leadership in implementing standardized accounting policies and processes, assists with project work as needed, and plays a key part in ensuring timely and compliant submission of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial results. What you will do: * Prepare monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. * Conduct variance analysis by comparing actual results to budget and prior periods, and provide insightful explanations for significant fluctuations. * Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, collaborating with various departments to gather financial data and assumptions. * Perform general ledger accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. * Support external audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. * Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and make recommendations for improvement. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. * Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance. * Participate in special projects as assigned by management. What you bring: * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. * CPA or equivalent certification preferred. * 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience. * Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. * Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
