Senior Financial Accountant

The Company

My client is a dynamic and large New Zealand owned industrial company who are currently on a growth journey. As a result, they are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their great team in Albany on a contract basis. They are offering great experience and exposure to a multinational business, progressive company culture and exposure to other areas of business.

The Role

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will report directly to an impressive Head of Finance and worked alongside a wider finance team of 10. As one of the senior members of the team, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Full ownership of month-end close - 3 WDs
• Full ownership of multiple P&L's
• Tax compliance - GST/FBT/PAYE
• Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Oversight of AP and AR processes
• Assist with management accounts
• Ad hoc analysis

Your profile:

You will ideally be CA or CPA qualified with proven experience in a similar role. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with non-financial managers to help drive business decisions. You will have a strong eye for detail in terms of accuracy, a high level of knowledge using Excel and excellent time management skills. You will have confidence and experience hitting the ground running and performing within a short period of time.
