Job description
This role involves handling vendor invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The Accounts Payable Executive will work closely with the finance team to maintain the integrity of the company’s financial records and support overall financial operations. Key Responsibilities: a) Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and verify invoices and check requests. Sort, code, and match invoices. Set invoices up for payment and enter them into the accounting system. b) Payment Processing: Process payments in accordance with established procedures. c) Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. d) Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting by preparing and submitting reports as required. e) Compliance: Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. f) Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including the finance team, procurement department, and other relevant teams. g) Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas requiring attention. h) Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. i) Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve processes, procedures, and systems to ensure efficient and effective financial operations. j) Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams, including procurement, accounting, and finance, to achieve common goals and objectives. k) Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members as required. l) Training: Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices. m) Quality Control: Ensure the quality of financial records, reports, and processes by implementing controls and procedures to prevent errors and discrepancies. n) Auditing: Assist in auditing and reviewing financial records, reports, and processes to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
