Job Description

Position Name: Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist

We are looking to incorporate a profile with a solid accounting background and experience in environments with multiple companies into the Finance Department. The position will have direct responsibility for certain group companies and will participate in tax, regulatory, and audit processes. We need an autonomous and problem-solving individual, but with room for continued growth within the area.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting and closing of assigned companies: accruals, provisions, depreciations, intercompany, reconciliations, revenue review, and balance sheet analysis.

• Manage invoicing processes, including those with greater complexity related to the management company, funds, and intercompany, as well as certain reimbursable expenses.

• Coordinate the recurring taxation of companies (VAT, Personal Income Tax, and SII) with management companies and external advisors, performing necessary reviews before their submission.

• Prepare the regulatory reporting for the management company and for CNMV requirements, including the management of associated information and documentation.

• Participate in internal audits and coordinate the preparation of information for external audits and other reviewers.

• Act as an advanced user of Sage or equivalent ERP, resolving functional incidents and helping to improve and simplify area processes.

• Coordinate with other areas, consultancies, and management companies, including the operations of international companies or branches where applicable.

Candidate Profile

The selected person must meet the following characteristics:

Education and Technical Skills:

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, reporting, and/or taxation, preferably in groups with multiple companies, management companies, financial entities, or regulated environments.

• Good command of the Spanish General Accounting Plan (PGC) and practical experience in monthly and annual closings, reconciliations, provisions, accruals, depreciations, intercompany, and balance sheet reviews.

• Knowledge of VAT, Personal Income Tax (IRPF), and SII (Immediate Supply of Information) and experience working with management companies or tax advisors.

• Experience in regulatory reporting or in a regulated financial environment. Experience working with the CNMV (National Securities Market Commission), SGIIC (Collective Investment Undertakings Management Companies), management companies, or investment vehicles will be particularly valued.

• Experience with Sage or another financial ERP and good Excel skills. Interest in process improvement and automation.

• Professional English. Experience working in English with financial documentation, advisors, or international interlocutors will be valued.
