Senior Estimator

Position: Senior Estimator.Location: Burlington, ON.Salary: $115,000 - $125,000.Industry: Construction/Industrial/Commercial/Institutional/Estimator.Status: Full-Time/Permanent; This is a site-based and an office-based role.

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our clients’ team in Burlington, ON. The ideal candidate is responsible for the preparation of Budgets & Estimates for Design-Build and projects, including conceptual design-build, cost plus, lump sum and construction management projects, as well as works with the project team through to project design, tendering and vendor procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate, timely preparation of multiple construction estimates and budgets of varying complexity of projects.
• Manage the procurement process for subcontracts and consultants.
• Create and maintain detailed subcontractor scope of work and bid documents.
• Conduct site visits, review, approve the preparation of drawings, specifications and other design documents.
• Proactively follows up on tenders and RFIs and maintains information.
• Other related Senior Estimator duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary education in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management or a related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator, ideally in a General Contracting and/or Design-Build contracting firm preferred.
• Gold Seal Certification a definite asset.
• Working knowledge of estimating software such as PlanSwift, ProCore, as well as Microsoft Excel.
• Proven ability to lead and communicate with trade skilled personnel and contractors.
• Excellent communication, both verbal & written.
