Senior Development Engineer (m/w/x) for VHF/UHF Power Amplifier Module

To strengthen our team of experts at K-tronik, a customer from the radio and communication industry, we are looking for a Senior Development Engineer (m/w/x) for VHF/UHF Power Amplifier Modules in permanent employment. Tasks:

• Definition and design of HF Power Amplifier Modules for the VHF- and UHF-frequency range, which are used in radio and communication applications - Development of amplifier circuits, combiners, and corresponding HF frontend components with a focus on efficiency, linearity, and compliance with industrial standards - Modeling and simulation using industry-standard tools (e.g. Keysight Advanced Design System, CST Microwave Studio, SPICE) to predict performance, thermal behavior, and reliability - Collaboration with the teams for electrical and mechanical construction to ensure seamless integration of HF modules into the overall product architecture - Leadership of the entire product development cycle: concept, detailed design, prototype building, experimental characterization, qualification, and PLM activities (requirements management, configuration control, change tracking, and end-of-life planning) - Conducting 'Make-or-Buy' analyses, evaluating external solutions, and driving the implementation of cost-effective, synergistic alternatives - Preparation of work packages with realistic time and cost estimates; monitoring progress and reporting to stakeholders - Translation of validated designs into series production, including provision of documentation, training, and on-site support for manufacturing teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (focus on HF/Microwaves) - Practical experience in developing HF Power Amplifier Modules for VHF/UHF radio or communication systems - Familiarity with Keysight ADS, CST Microwave Studio, and SPICE simulators - In-depth knowledge of the design of HF power amplifiers, combiners, and techniques to improve efficiency - Familiarity with PLM tools and product lifecycle processes - Fluent German and English skills (spoken and written) - Soft Skills: self-initiative, result-oriented, and the ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
