Senior Engineer Sensor Technology & Safety Systems (m/f/d) - Cologne Region - €75,000

For an innovative development project, we are looking for experienced specialists for the development of safety-critical systems. You will work on the processing and evaluation of complex sensor data as well as on high-performance software and algorithm solutions.

Responsibilities

Your tasks

• Development and further development of software for safety-critical systems
• Processing, analysis, and evaluation of sensor data
• Development of algorithms for the detection, classification, and assessment of objects and hazardous situations
• Participation in software architectures and technical concepts
• Optimization of real-time and performance requirements
• Creation and implementation of technical specifications, taking regulatory requirements into account
• Collaboration with international project teams and customers in the mobility sector
• Taking on technical responsibility within demanding development projects

Qualifications

Your profile

• Several years of professional experience in software development
• Experience in at least two relevant subject areas related to sensor technology, data processing, algorithm development, real-time processing, or high-performance software solutions
• Good understanding of sensor systems and the processing of sensor-based data
• Experience in handling complex technical requirements and development processes
• Knowledge from the rail and aviation sectors is an advantage
• Knowledge in the development of robust and reliable software
• Independent and solution-oriented way of working
• Very good English skills
