Do you feel addressed and want to make the world a safer place with us? Our team is constantly growing, and we are looking for you as a Senior Engineer (m/f/d) for the Proxmox platform at our location in Cologne or Wiesbaden with the option for mobile working. Together, we ensure the successful operation and further development of modern virtualization platforms for our customers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US
- Building, further development, and operation of our future virtualization platform based on Proxmox VE
- Planning and execution of migration projects as part of the strategic replacement of existing VMware environments
- Integration and further development of storage, network, and SDN components to ensure a high-performance and highly available infrastructure
- Creation of operational, architectural, and migration concepts, as well as support in technology and architectural decisions
- Automation and optimization of operational processes, as well as ensuring stable platform operation
HOW YOU WILL IMPRESS US
- Successfully completed training in the IT field, a degree in computer science, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in the operation and further development of virtualization platforms, as well as practical experience with Proxmox VE
- Very good Linux knowledge, as well as sound know-how in the areas of enterprise storage, network architectures, and SDN technologies
- Experience in infrastructure transformation and migration projects, as well as a strong architectural understanding
- High degree of personal responsibility, as well as readiness for on-call duty or planned 24/7 maintenance work
- Good German and English language skills
