Senior Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our client's team on a project basis, providing technical leadership in the design, analysis, and validation of complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. This role will involve interpreting technical requirements, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Analysis & Requirements

• Review and analyse complex task statements, standards, specifications, engineering drawings, and related documentation to determine engineering requirements.
• Translate customer technical requirements into practical, compliant solutions that enhance both customer satisfaction and the company's technical reputation.

Design & Development

• Design complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies and systems using standard components.
• Review proposed designs and test plans for compliance with task and contract requirements.
• Recommend and implement design improvements based on test results and performance data.

Testing & Validation

• Establish test plans, define test criteria, and guide technicians in data collection.
• Analyse test data for accuracy and consistency, comparing results against specified and computed values.
• Inspect, certify, and evaluate operational systems on‑site as required.

Project Coordination & Documentation

• May direct the preparation of milestone charts, manpower and material estimates, and other inputs to define program schedules.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Ensure the generation, release, and maintenance of documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

Team Leadership

• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to engineers, drafters, and technicians.
• Participate in constructability and design reviews, offering solutions to resolve technical challenges.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent).
• 6-8 years' experience in engineering design, analysis, and testing of complex systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to work independently, applying sound judgment in evaluating and adapting designs.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple priorities.
