The data engineering team at TJX is responsible for building and maintaining the data pipelines and infrastructure that support our business intelligence, analytics, and data science initiatives. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and help us build and scale our data platform. Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure using cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP). * Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and data quality checks. * Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. * Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues. * Optimize data pipeline performance and scalability. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's best practices. * Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and trends. * Mentor junior engineers. Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. * 5+ years of experience in data engineering. * Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including data modeling, ETL, and data governance. * Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP). * Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Spark, Airflow, Kafka). * Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. * Experience with data quality and data profiling tools. * Strong problem-solving and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bonus points: * Experience with Python or Java. * Experience with DevOps practices. * Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive).
