Senior Embedded Software Developer (m/w/d)

Job description

We are a 2011 spin-off from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and work closely with our customers from various industries to bring their projects to life through the development of tailored software solutions. From fault-tolerant embedded systems to KI-based predictive maintenance, we bring modern technologies into different areas. Our strengths lie in resource-efficient development, the development and specification of safety-critical applications, as well as the seamless integration of innovative solutions into complex systems. Our successes span industries such as automation technology, aerospace, defense, building technology, energy supply, and medical technology.

Tasks

  • Techical leadership and implementation of analysis and evaluation of new technological methods for embedded devices and current IoT/Industry 4.0 challenges
  • Responsibility for specifying the requirements for software and the corresponding tests
  • Development and implementation of complex algorithms for data fusion and filtering in embedded devices
  • Creation of mathematical models of complex processes
  • Creation of software from functional prototypes to product
  • Adaptation of software into embedded device
  • Realization of safety-critical applications for different customer markets

Qualification

  • SUCCESSFUL completion of a degree in computer science (uni/fh) or equivalent training (M.Sc. or Ph.D.)
  • MORE THAN 10 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE in software development (focus on C/C++)
  • PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE in working with CI/CD pipelines and corresponding tools (jira, jenkins, github/gitlab etc.) and best practices
  • STRUCTURED AND SOLUTION-ORIENTED WORKSTYLE, OUTSTANDING ANALYTICAL SKILLS, AND TEAMWORK ABILITY
  • EXPERIENCE WITH RESOURCE-SAVING PROGRAMMING AND EMBEDDED OPERATING SYSTEMS
  • EXPERIENCE IN DEVELOPING SAFETY-CRITICAL APPLICATIONS IS AN ASSET
  • EXPERIENCE IN APPLYING AGILE DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES LIKE SCRUM IS AN ASSET
  • EXPERIENCE IN FPGA DEVELOPMENT IS AN ASSET
  • RELIABILITY AND HIGH QUALITY AWARENESS
  • VERY GOOD VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN GERMAN AND ENGLISH
