Senior Embedded Engineer

We are an innovative startup in the field of Smart Farming and develop a Home-Farm, which allows you to grow your own Spirulina at home.

You will work closely with our product, take on real responsibility, and accompany the electronics from the first idea to series maturity.

Tasks

• Conceptualization and further development of the hardware architecture for our Smart-Farming-Indoor-Farm
• Design of circuit diagrams and printed circuit boards (PCBs) as well as accompaniment of the entire process until production
• Assembly, commissioning, and testing of prototypes and functional samples (soldering, measuring, 3D printing, assembly)
• Selection, evaluation, and integration of sensors, actuators, pumps, and other electronic components
• Conducting hardware tests and validations using simple software tools and scripts
• Closely working with the software development team to optimize firmware and hardware
• Support in optimizing electronics regarding reliability, costs, and series maturity

Qualification

• Completed studies or training in the field of electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification
• Fundamental experience in designing printed circuit boards and circuit diagrams (e.g. KiCad, Altium, or Eagle)
• Pronounced hands-on mentality and joy in practical work (soldering, measuring, prototype building)
• Experience in rapid prototyping and building functional samples
• Basic knowledge of software development (e.g. C/C++ for microcontrollers or Python for tests)
• Technical understanding of sensorics, actuatorics, and embedded systems
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
• Motivation to accompany a physical product from the idea to series maturity
