Senior eMail Security Engineer & Incident Analyst

Ideal Candidate

Role Purpose: This is a senior-level role within the Corporate Security Competence Center, with a key contribution to protecting the Group against advanced email threats. The position combines deep technical expertise with advanced analytical skills and focuses on engineering, optimizing and evolving the Group’s email security platform, leading complex investigations and supporting Group entities with secure email onboarding.

Qualifications:
  • Advanced hand-on experience with Proofpoint: global policy design, TAP/TRAP configuration and platform tuning.
  • Strong threat analysis capabilities: email header deep-dive, BEC pattern identification and campaign correlation.
  • Proven remediation experience: retroactive message removal across multiple entities and IOC distribution.
  • Strong technical skills: scripting (Python/APIs), DMARC/DKIM architecture and SIEM integration.
  • Automation mindset: experience building and maintaining custom automation scripts and API integrations.
  • Able to work autonomously while remaining open-minded and highly collaborative
  • Good English skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineering and technical administration of the Proofpoint platform, including mail flow architecture, API integrations and Group-wide policy baselines.

  • Advanced investigation and response to Business Email Compromise (BEC), credential harvesting and targeted malware campaigns.

  • Development of automation scripts (Python/PowerShell) for incident enrichment and response workflows.

  • Technical onboarding of new Group entities, including MX record transitions and secure routing configuration.

  • Acting as an escalation point for complex email security incidents and supporting operational teams with expert guidance.
