Senior Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) – Analog Electronics & Measurement Technology

As soon as possible, we are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on analog electronics and measurement technology for our Berlin location, who will technically advance our measurement and inspection technology with their expertise.

EMPIT is a growing Deep Tech company that develops measurement and inspection systems for international use on critical infrastructure. With our technologies, we make visible what otherwise remains hidden, thereby making an important contribution to the safety and reliability of critical infrastructure.

In your role, you will develop and optimize the electronics behind these systems – from powerful power supplies and circuit boards to the re-conception of individual components of our signal generators. This will result in solutions that are compact, reliable, and designed for international use.

Your Tasks:

• Further develop power supplies: Improve the performance, efficiency, and reliability of our power sources and adapt them to the requirements of our measurement systems.
• Develop circuit boards and electronic assemblies: Build circuits, commission prototypes, evaluate measurement results, and specifically optimize existing hardware.
• Make electronics more compact: Optimize existing assemblies in terms of size, weight, and structure so that our systems can be transported safely and efficiently – including by airplane.
• Rethink signal generators: Analyze existing components, question technical limits, and develop new solutions for our signal generators and measurement systems.
• Solve technical challenges: Systematically analyze errors, identify causes, and independently bring practical solutions to implementation.
• Shape technology: Develop new concepts together with our team and drive technical decisions for the next generation of our measurement and inspection systems.

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Physics, or a comparable technical qualification
• At least 7 years of professional experience in hardware or electronics development
• In-depth knowledge in analog technology, circuit technology, power supply, and signal processing
• Experience in the development and optimization of circuit boards (PCB) and electronic assemblies, ideally in the environment of measurement and signal generators
• Strong technical curiosity and innovative spirit as well as the courage to rethink existing solutions and contribute your own concepts
• Hands-on mentality and enjoyment in building, testing, measuring, and optimizing your own solutions
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
