Senior Buyer Construction and Engineering Services (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Buyer Construction and Engineering Services (m/f/d) in the Procurement department. In this position, you will play a central role in the procurement of services for our national and international infrastructure, industrial, and energy projects. You will oversee the entire awarding and procurement process and support economical and successful project execution across projects.

Tasks that motivate:

• Management and execution of national and international procurement and awarding processes from tender to contract award

• Preparation, review, and negotiation of tender documents, offers, and construction, supply, service, and subcontract agreements

• Analysis and evaluation of offers, as well as preparation of awarding recommendations from technical, commercial, and contractual perspectives

• Conducting bidder discussions as well as price, contract, and awarding negotiations with national and international contractors

• Advising and supporting project teams on all procurement and contract-related issues

• Development and implementation of procurement and awarding strategies, especially for EPCM projects

• Maintenance and further development of contract standards, templates, and procurement processes in cooperation with internal departments

• Conducting market, price, and cost analyses to identify savings and optimization potentials

• Ensuring audit-proof contract and procurement documentation

• Participation in the digitalization and continuous optimization of purchasing, awarding, and contract management processes

Qualifications that impress:

• Successfully completed commercial, business administration, or comparable training or studies

• Several years of commercial professional experience (at least 5 years), ideally in the procurement of services in the industrial construction sector or infrastructure environment

• Experience in conducting complex tender and awarding processes

• Knowledge of public procurement law at German and European level is desirable

• Strong understanding of commercial contexts as well as contract and procurement processes

• Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and strong communication skills

• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working

• Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP or procurement systems is advantageous

• Very good German skills as well as good English skills in speaking and writing (at least C1)
