Senior Director, People Strategy - WCA & SEA

A global payments technology leader is seeking a Sr. Director to lead the People Business Partner function across West & Central Africa and South & East Africa. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in HR, preferably in FinTech or technology, and will provide strategic HR leadership. Responsibilities include driving talent strategies and fostering a culture of inclusion and innovation. This is a hybrid role based in Johannesburg, South Africa, focusing on building a high-performance team that drives business outcomes through people-centric initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies to support the company's growth plans, as well as providing expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and managers across the region. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing HR strategies to support the company's growth plans in WCA & SEA; • Providing strategic HR leadership to drive business outcomes through people-centric initiatives; • Fostering a culture of inclusion and innovation, ensuring that all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute to the organization's success; • Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior leaders and managers across the region; • Developing and implementing talent strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent in WCA & SEA; • Collaborating with other HR Business Partners to ensure consistency and alignment of HR initiatives across the region; • Providing expert advice and guidance on HR-related matters to senior leaders and managers; • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues related to HR policies, procedures, and practices.
