Job description

THE VALUE CHAIN  

Reporting to the Head of Product Design VALUE CHAIN at DECATHLON UNITED, your ambition will be to grow products and teams with a user-centered approach.

Promise of the VALUE CHAIN team
To provide products and services with the best user experiences to enable the growth of our company (products, geographies, channels, and business models) while respecting our carbon commitments. So many talents united who ensure that the product is in the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantity, in order to always keep our products available.

Within the Value Chain design team, you will be responsible for supporting Decathlon employees on solutions that ensure the availability of our products in stores and to our end-users. Our missions focus on service design, digital product design, and acculturating teams to product design approaches. We work on applications for warehouses, managing overstock, quality monitoring of carriers, sales forecast management, product purchasing by our partners…

As part of the opening of an internal position, we are recruiting a Digital Product Designer, based in Paris or Lille as an option.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Missions

  • Understand business and user challenges in order to translate them into opportunities through quantitative and qualitative studies.
  • Solve complex problems through strong analytical skills and value-driven management.
  • Design innovative solutions by gaining buy-in from all stakeholders internationally.
  • Enrich user and business knowledge through Atomic Research.
  • Deliver journeys efficiently in close collaboration with development teams.
  • Share best practices and be a proactive force for continuous improvement within Decathlon United.


Collaboration & Leadership

  • Facilitate and work with multidisciplinary teams, taking into account all stakeholder interests.
  • Be attentive while also being proactive and persuasive with the various project stakeholders.
  • Share your expertise in your area of specialization, both internally and externally.
  • Implement and evolve processes and tools to grow design and business teams.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • You have at least 10 years of experience in Product Design.
  • You possess excellent organizational skills.
  • You have good interpersonal skills with natural leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
  • You share agile values: team spirit, continuous improvement, and a feedback culture.
  • You speak fluent English.
  • You have solid skills in user-centered design.
  • You have previously worked within a squad.
  • You are particularly sensitive to the impact of sports practice for the values it has enabled you to acquire in your leadership style and team management!

  • Possibility to work in either the Decathlon Digital offices in Lille or Paris (regular travel to Lille required, 2 to 3 days every two weeks)
