Senior DevSecOps Engineer (m/f/d)

YOUR MISSION

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer (m/f/d), you will combine automation with security and reliably bring cloud applications into operation. At virtual7, you will shape the technical foundation for the digitalization of the public sector – with personal responsibility, technical expertise, and space for your ideas.

Your tasks

• Building, further developing, and operating cloud and container environments based on Linux, Kubernetes, and Docker/OCI

• Migrating existing applications to cloud environments as well as their automated deployment and integration

• Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and GitOps processes with Git, GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions, as well as Helm and ArgoCD

• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Infrastructure as Code, for example Terraform, as well as Python or Bash

• Securing cloud, Kubernetes, and Linux environments through hardening, role and permission concepts, and the implementation of the least privilege principle

• Ensuring stable operation through monitoring, logging, and continuous optimization, as well as further developing technical quality through code reviews and professional exchange

WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO US

• Completed IT degree and sound practical experience in building and operating cloud-native environments and a good understanding of microservices architectures

• Very good Linux skills and sound experience with Kubernetes, Docker/OCI, and open-source virtualization and container environments

• Proficient in CI/CD and GitOps, especially with Git, GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions, as well as Helm and ArgoCD

• Sound experience with Infrastructure as Code, for example Terraform, as well as proficient use of Python, Bash, or comparable languages for automation

• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), least privilege concepts, and hardening of Linux, container, Kubernetes, and cloud environments

• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and the operation of production systems, as well as familiarity with agile working methods, branching, clean code, and peer reviews
