Senior Platform Engineer –

Role Objective

• Build and enhance internal platforms that improve developer productivity and experience.
  
• Enable scalable DevOps automation, CI/CD integration, and cloud-based delivery processes.
  
• Partner with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust platform solutions.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and document platform components across the full software lifecycle.
  
• Integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions.
  
• Enhance existing platform tools to meet business and engineering needs.
  
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Node.js, and Java.
  
• Collaborate with SMEs (delivery teams, software engineers, security, cloud infrastructure) to analyze requirements and build platform capabilities.
  
• Improve developer experience by building intuitive, reliable, and automated tooling.
  
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs to support platform integration.
  
• Participate in architectural discussions, design reviews, and platform roadmap definition.
  
• Ensure platform reliability, performance, and security through best practices and automation.
  
• Document platform services, APIs, and processes using Markdown/MkDocs.
  
• Communicate platform vision and requirements clearly across teams and stakeholders.
  
• Continuously evaluate new technologies and improve platform capabilities.
  

Technical Requirements

• Strong coding experience in Node.js, TypeScript, React.js, Java.
  
• Experience building and integrating CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
  
• Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket/GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible.
  
• Knowledge of security tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx.
  
• Experience with RESTful APIs and service integration.
  
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services.
  
• Proficiency with documentation tools (Markdown, MkDocs).
  
• Understanding of modern DevOps patterns and application delivery lifecycle.
  

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Backstage framework or internal developer platforms (IDP).
  
• Experience creating plugins using React, TypeScript, or Node.js.
  
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
