Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Automation

• You will design, develop, and automate modern cloud infrastructures using Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• You will develop scalable Infrastructure-as-Code solutions and establish best practices for operating modern platforms.

CI/CD & Platform Engineering

• You will develop, optimize, and operate modern CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• You will support our clients in implementing efficient DevOps processes and high automation.

Container & Kubernetes

• You will administer and optimize Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, GKE, or On-Premises).
• You will implement modern deployment strategies, GitOps approaches, and ensure the scalability, high availability, and security of the platforms.

Monitoring, Security & Consulting

• You will establish monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• You will implement security and compliance requirements (IAM, certificate management, vulnerability management).
• You will advise our clients on multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud strategies and support them on their journey to a modern DevOps organization.
• You will guide technical architectural decisions and mentor less experienced colleagues.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
  At least 6 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering.
• Very good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, including modular architectures.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern automation processes.
• In-depth knowledge of operating and administering Kubernetes.
• Experience with at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Very good knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language such as Python or Go.
• Experience with OpenShift or Rancher is a plus.
• Fluent German (C1) and English language skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to clients.
• Salary range for this position (Senior-Level): €75,000 – €95,000 gross/year. Final classification will depend on experience and skillset.
