Senior DevOps Engineer – MS Entra ID / Azure 100%

For our client, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Entra ID. In this role, you will design and optimize the Azure base platform with a focus on identity management, security, and automation. You will take on a central role in the further development of Microsoft Entra ID and the integration of new Azure base services.

Main Tasks:

• Development and implementation of automation solutions for managing and optimizing Microsoft Entra ID and associated services using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and APIs with Go

• Management and automation of App Registrations, Enterprise Applications, Conditional Access Policies, and Administrative Units

• Development, implementation, and maintenance of authentication and authorization processes for Single Sign-On (SSO) and other applications

• Development of conceptual specifications for OAuth2 and SAML flows as well as their integration and implementation in various applications

• Creation and continuous optimization of authentication and authorization rules, including automated tests and monitoring

• Management and optimization of Azure and Microsoft 365 services with a focus on identity management and security

• Active contribution of current findings and best practices for hardening Microsoft Entra ID

• Further development of a monitoring and surveillance framework for controlling and ensuring secure Entra ID configurations

• Support in the integration and further development of new Azure base services

• Creation of technical documentation as well as knowledge transfer and training of internal teams on Entra ID and DevOps topics

Requirements:

• Solid IT education (University of Applied Sciences, University) or a comparable qualification

• Several years of practical experience with Microsoft Azure and sound knowledge of Azure base services

• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and its functions, especially Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and Application Proxy

• Sound experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform

• Experience in developing automation solutions and APIs, ideally with Go as well as Python or Bash

• Good knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD processes as well as experience with GitLab

• Sound understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM), network security, and authentication protocols such as OAuth2, SAML, and OpenID Connect

• Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) and the integration of applications into central authentication and authorization processes

• Experience with cloud security technologies and ideally Microsoft 365

• Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills as well as a structured and self-reliant way of working

• Team and customer-oriented personality with strong communication skills
