Senior DevOps Engineer Java / Kotlin – eBanking 100%

For our client, we are looking for a dedicated personality as a DevOps Engineer. Become part of an agile DevOps team and actively shape the digital customer interface. Together, the team is responsible for five business-critical eBanking applications and continuously develops them. Modern technologies, innovative software architectures, and agile development methods such as Pair/Mob Programming and TDD are used. Personal responsibility, teamwork, and continuous development are at the core.

Main Tasks:

• Responsibility for the further development and operation of five business-critical applications related to eBanking

• Further development of microservices and self-contained systems

• Conception and implementation of banking-specific requirements into sustainable technical solutions

• Continuous optimization of the interplay between development, testing, operations, and monitoring

• Ensuring stability, performance, security, and availability of the services responsible for

• Actively contributing new technical and methodological impulses for the further development of the team and our products

• Co-shaping and further development of modern software architectures and development standards

• Close collaboration within the agile DevOps team and active co-shaping of a shared engineering culture

Requirements:

• Completed degree (university, university of applied sciences, or higher vocational school) in (business) computer science or a comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in software development, ideally in the banking environment

• Very good knowledge in Java and Angular development as well as with Spring and JPA

• In-depth knowledge of Kotlin and experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL

• Practical experience with Kubernetes and modern container technologies

• Experience in software architecture and development of internet-facing services

• Understanding of modern architectural approaches such as microservices, Domain-Driven Design, resilience, and observability

• Experience with agile development methodologies and enjoyment of practices such as Pair/Mob Programming and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

• Knowledge of JIRA and a pronounced DevOps mindset

• A team- and customer-oriented personality with high self-motivation, personal responsibility, and social skills

• Enjoyment of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

• Assignment: from December 1, 2026, to November 1, 2028

• Work location: on-site at the client in Zurich

• Good German and English skills mandatory
