Senior DevOps Engineer - Azure (m/f/d)

As part of our multi-cloud strategy, DevOps is central to our product teams and our information security. To strengthen our Security, Infrastructure & Cloud team at our Cologne location, we are therefore looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer – Azure (m/f/d) who will actively shape our Azure infrastructure and develop and advance modern cloud and DevOps solutions.

• Design, implementation, and operation of our Azure infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code – including the microservices infrastructure of our new website
• Further development of our Azure identity architecture with Entra ID, Service Principals, Managed Identities, and Zero Trust
• Operation and optimization of our CI/CD pipelines as well as embedding DevSecOps principles
• Shaping cloud-native architectures together with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Creation of technical documentation, operational concepts, and decision proposals

• Qualification: Completed degree in Computer Science, a comparable vocational training, or a comparable professional career with relevant practical experience
• Experience: Several years of experience in the operation and design of DevOps infrastructures, ideally in the Azure environment
• Knowledge:
  • Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and/or Azure Bicep
  • Microsoft Entra ID as well as OAuth, OIDC, and Microsoft Graph API
  • Azure Networking, e.g., Hub-Spoke, Load Balancing, DNS, Routing, and Firewall
  • Programming and scripting skills, e.g., in Python or Bash, for automation and CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitoring with Grafana, Prometheus, or Elastic Stack
  • Ideally Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Purview, or Azure OpenAI
• Furthermore: Structured way of working, initiative, and sense of responsibility
• Languages: Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
