Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS & Java) (m/w/d)

In this position, you will take on a central role in ensuring the stable and secure operation of modern cloud applications. You will work on future-proof AWS architectures, automate processes, and ensure smooth operations in daily business as well as projects. At the interface between development, IT operations, and departments, variety, technical depth, and professional insights go hand in hand.

Aufgaben

• Operation, further development, and support of own developments, cloud applications on AWS, and selected SaaS solutions
• Further development of existing AWS setups with a focus on architecture, security, permissions, network, IaC, and operation
• Maintenance of container-based applications (ECS) as well as collaboration on infrastructure-as-code solutions using AWS CDK and TypeScript
• Conceptualization, maintenance, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab
• Independent analysis and processing of incidents, including coordination with IT, departments, and external partners
• Creation and maintenance of technical and procedural documentation
• Collaboration in projects as well as accompaniment of infrastructural and regulatory measures
• Immersion into professional topics such as accounting, compliance, or reporting

Qualifikation

• Degree in (Business) Informatics or equivalent qualification
• Multiple years of experience in DevOps-, development- or application management-related fields
• Fundamental practice in AWS (cloud setup, network, security, permissions, architecture, and operation), ideally including ECS
• Experience in setting up and operating CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (ideally AWS CDK with TypeScript)
• Very good SQL knowledge, particularly with Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Experience in incident support as well as structured analysis and documentation
• Self-directed, structured work style, team spirit, and enthusiasm for new technical and professional topics
• Openness to a one-day office visit per week
• Very good German and good English skills
