Senior Development Engineer Mechatronics (m/f/x)

Do you want to take responsibility, achieve results, and actively shape products? As a Senior Development Engineer Mechatronics, you will design manufacturable products and high-performance production processes at the interface between development and production – from supporting new products in development, through their introduction into series production, to the continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the production of new product developments, develop suitable assembly and testing processes, and ensure production readiness.
• During product development, take responsibility for Design for Manufacturing and Design to Cost from a manufacturing perspective and ensure manufacturable and economical product design together with the development department.
• Support Lean initiatives through appropriate technical solutions, simplify production processes, and reduce waste.
• Continuous Improvement: Further develop existing manufacturing processes and mechatronic systems regarding quality, efficiency, reliability, and usability.
• Document manufacturing setups and processes, and train and support production during introduction and application.

Requirements

• Completed Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering, production-related development, or a comparable environment.
• Sound knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Design to Cost and experience in their application during product development.
• Good understanding of the interplay between mechanics, electronics, and control technology; knowledge in optics is an advantage.
• A structured, independent, and practice-oriented way of working, as well as enjoyment of collaboration with development and production. Very good communication skills and result orientation.
• Very good German and English skills.
