Senior Designer (Water)

Job Description We are seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our Wellington water team. The primary purpose of this position is to deliver technically excellent designs for water infrastructure engineering projects. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate seeking their next career move within a growing team and organisation. This opportunity can also be based in our Christchurch office. You will be responsible for Design of multi-disciplinary complex civil projects, ensuring design drawings are accurate, complete and meet the required standards. This includes preparing detailed designs, specifications, and reports for water infrastructure engineering projects. You will work closely with other designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure that designs are integrated into the overall project scope. Key responsibilities include: • Design of multi-disciplinary complex civil projects, ensuring design drawings are accurate, complete and meet the required standards. • Preparing detailed designs, specifications, and reports for water infrastructure engineering projects. • Collaborating with other designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure that designs are integrated into the overall project scope. • Providing technical guidance and support to junior designers and engineers. • Ensuring compliance with relevant design standards, codes, and regulations. • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. • Participating in project meetings and providing input on design development and implementation. • Maintaining accurate records of designs, specifications, and reports.
