Senior Design and Release Engineer - Cockpit
Job description
1. Planning and executing design changes to existing components (3D). Development of medium- and high-complexity designs for new components (3D). Preparation of engineering drawings (2D) with knowledge of GD&T. Making the correct selection of materials.
Managing engineering systems (CCDs, CNs, e-CIMS, IAAs, PERs, e-BOMS, Bulletins, etc.) to make changes and issue assigned component parts.
3. Development, planning, and execution of validation plans (DVP&R) for components and systems, knowledge of standard tests.
4. Planning, preparing, and executing assembly and performance tests for components in assembly plants (PERs, tryouts).
5. Analyzing and resolving performance and durability issues in assigned components. (GIMs, warranty, Launch Indicator Issues (JDP), determining the root cause of problems.
6. Propose, evaluate, and implement mass and cost reductions for assigned components (VOs).
7. Release new part numbers and modify (add/delete/replace/cancel) existing part lists in a planned manner in Stellantis systems (e-BOM, Team Center, etc.).
8. Assist supplier plants in certifying production, inspection, and part validation processes.
9. Prepare and evaluate compliance reports for government regulations.
10. Plan, prepare, and coordinate DFMEAs.
11. Support assembly plants during the pilot vehicle construction and launch phases. Travel within Mexico and abroad.
