Senior Datenbankadministrator (Oracle & PostgreSQL)

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and open-minded Senior Datenbankadministrator - Oracle & PostgreSQL.

This position is fully Remote - nach Absprache with presence in Nürnberg and/or München.

Your Tasks:

• Maintenance and support of daily operations in the database team of the employer company
• Setup, operation and conversion of Oracle databases including RAC, CDB and PDB
• Ensuring high availability and analyzing and resolving production and performance problems
• Participation in releases, projects and regulatory initiatives such as Move2Cloud or POCs
• Analyzing security gaps and implementing suitable measures
• Optimization of monitoring, backup and recovery including regular tests
• Further development of automations using Shell, Ansible and scripts
• Monitoring and controlling tickets and changes according to ITIL including on-call availability

Your Profile:

• Long-term experience with database technologies like Oracle and PostgreSQL, ideally supplemented by MSSQL, MongoDB or Elasticsearch
• Very good knowledge in Shell- und Ansible-Scripting as well as experience with Git
• Practical experience in operating Oracle Exadata Cloud Customer Umgebungen
• Very good knowledge of ITIL processes and their application in operation
• Experience in IT migration and cloud projects as well as data center moves
• High technical understanding for IT infrastructure and data center services
• Structured, solution-oriented and self-reliant working style
• Very good communication skills in German and English languages
