Senior Database Administrator @ Verita HR

An experienced Senior Database Administrator is sought to support and maintain business-critical database environments across hybrid infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of Microsoft SQL Server platforms while driving automation and continuous improvement of database operations. This position requires working on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required. Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, particularly with regards to database design, query optimization, and troubleshooting is essential. Experience with database administration tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and PowerShell is also necessary. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence concepts. Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions such as Azure SQL Database is an asset. The selected candidate will be expected to maintain accurate records of all database-related activities, including backups, restores, and performance monitoring. This role also requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
