(Senior) Data Protection and Compliance Counsel (m/f/d)

Formycon is a leading independent developer of high-quality biopharmaceutical drugs, particularly biosimilars. With a team of around 200 experienced specialists, we develop complex drugs along the entire value chain. Our scope of activities ranges from technical-pharmaceutical development and clinical studies to the preparation and submission of marketing authorization documents. To support our General Counsel in Martinsried, near Munich, we are looking for you on a permanent, full-time basis as soon as possible.

Your Responsibilities

Data Protection:

• Implementation and further development of strategies and systems to ensure data protection compliance.
• Interface function to the external data protection officer.
• Advising management, specialist departments, and employees on data protection obligations and developing practical solutions.
• Data protection obligations and developing practical solutions.
• Maintenance and further development of the group-wide data protection management system.
• Handling data protection inquiries and incidents in cooperation with the external data protection officer and the General Counsel.
• Maintaining the record of processing activities and reviewing data processing agreements and data protection-relevant contract clauses.
• Ensuring compliance with local data protection laws and standards.
• Implementation of data protection goals and operational data protection processes, including training measures and data protection impact assessments.

Compliance:

• Further development and improvement of the Compliance Management System.
• Analysis of compliance-relevant case law and regulatory developments.
• Advising management, specialist departments, and employees on compliance obligations and developing practical solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with local laws and standards.
• Implementation and monitoring of control mechanisms and compliance processes.
• Identification and assessment of compliance risks.
• Organization and execution of internal training in the area of compliance, examination, and drafting of relevant contract clauses.

• Completed studies in law, business, or comparable qualification, fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d) preferred.
• Several years of professional experience and excellent knowledge of relevant laws and standards in data protection law and compliance, ideally in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Very good general knowledge of business law.
• Good understanding of legal formulations and their practical implementation.
• Strong communication and consulting skills.
• You are well-organized, work reliably, and enjoy contributing new ideas.
• Your work is characterized by diligence and service orientation, and you are familiar with handling sensitive data.
• You have a positive attitude and enjoy working independently in a small team.
• Good MS Office skills and fluent communication in German, as well as fluent English for negotiation purposes, complete your profile.
