Senior - Data Platform Engineering (m/f/d) Azure and Databricks

We are looking for additional support for the conception, automation, and further development of modern data platforms. In this position, you will work with Azure and Databricks, develop scalable platform solutions, and support our Data Engineers and project teams with uniform standards and best practices.

Tasks

• You will conceptualize and implement modern Data Platforms with Databricks and a hyperscaler, particularly Azure or AWS.
• You will implement scalable platform architectures, development environments, and deployment processes.
• You will establish Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and reusable platform standards.
• You will ensure security, governance, monitoring, performance, and stability.
• You will support Data Engineers, Data Analytics teams, and business departments with standardized platform services and best practices.
• You will participate in architecture, technology, and platform decisions, as well as in reusable solutions for Data Ingestion and Data Preparation.

Qualification

• You have completed studies in STEM or Business Informatics, or possess a comparable qualification.
• You have three to five years of professional experience in Data Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, or Cloud Engineering.
• You have conceptualized and implemented modern data platforms, ideally with Databricks and Azure, and are familiar with Lakehouse architectures as well as scalable cloud infrastructures.
• You have knowledge of Databricks, relevant Azure Services, Python, SQL, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• You have experience with Infrastructure as Code, for example Terraform, as well as with CI/CD pipelines, security, and governance.
• You work independently, with a focus on quality, and enjoy working in a team, and can communicate technical content understandably.
